Thermoforming

Heavy-gauge Thermoforming utilizes the same basic process as continuous thin-gauge sheet forming, typically draping the heated plastic sheet over a mold. Many heavy-gauge forming applications use vacuum only in the form process, although some use two halves of mating form tooling and include air pressure to help form. Heavy gauge parts are used as cosmetic surfaces on permanent structures such as kiosks, automobiles, trucks, medical equipment, material handling equipment, refrigerators, spas, and shower enclosures, and electrical and electronic equipment. Unlike most thin-gauge thermoformed parts, heavy-gauge parts are often hand-worked after forming for trimming to final shape or for additional drilling, cutting, or finishing, depending on the product. Heavy-gauge products typically are of a "permanent" end use nature, while thin-gauge parts are more often designed to be disposable or recyclable and are primarily used to package or contain a food item or product. Heavy gauge thermoforming is typically used for small quantities of Larger parts.

 
 
 
 
Vacuumforming    

Vacuumforming  is a method of moulding hot plastics, starting out with sheets and using pressure or a vacuum. It is a cost-effective technique that enables the production of polymer shells starting with a positive template .Tecnoplastica is able to respond to demands for high-quantity production runs, pre-series or limited series, thanks to its versatility and the low cost of the moulds. Blister Packing    

Thermoforming can be used to produce attractive box inserts and interiors. The insert can be tailored to the shape of the product to be packed. This ensures a perfect presentation and protection of the product. These inserts can be made from flock film for a velvet-like appearance. At Therm O Pack produces not only custom blister but also standard blister. The moulds for this type of packaging are available off the shelf. As a result the start-up costs are low the delivery times short. The wide range of designs and sizes means that suitable moulds are available for many different products.

Blister pack is a term for several types of pre-formed plastic packaging used for small consumer goods, foods, and for pharmaceuticals.The primary component of a blister pack is a cavity or pocket made from a "formable" web, usually a thermoformed plastic. This usually has a backing of paperboard or a "lidding" seal of aluminum foil or plastic. A blister that folds onto itself is often called a Clamshell.
